Reports:

Treasurer Jeanne S. did this for Michelle for they were not able to hook up, from now on Michelle will do it. Biggest account is our travel account; Jeanne explained her treasurer report and told us what each category is.

Mike H asked…caps are operating expenses…as long as other categories are full the rest will go to world.

Bill S. 1500 for convention? Why the convention…we are no longer confused and Jeanne explained how we borrowed the money and we need to pay it back. Tommy O. explained more. The money came from the convention itself.

Take the money out of travel and put it in the convention to put it where it belongs and make travel short. Jeanne explained to Michelle what we needed to do and no money goes to the world until we are where we belong.

Steve H added more info on what to do with the money and told Michelle.

Wyo-Braska See Attached Steve H asked about the Scotts Bluff meetings and Ray let us know that things are going much better!! (He will send me his report by feb15)

Wyoming Western See Attached Rick read. Attendance for the workshop was kinda low but the enthusiasm was awesome. If anyone has issues for going to Rawlins can contact Rick and he will forward to the right person.

There was some discussion concerning New Castle and Torrington, the correct areas were told what was needed and that info will be given to the H&I people.

Central Wyoming See Attached Randy read

Randy A. is the new RCM for CW. His # is 307-277-8901

Convention See Attached Phyllis read the report.

The hospitality room will be like the last convention. A fundraiser is here at the 12/24 club. Phyllis has asked for the 1500 from the region. She has told us that there is an arts and graphics person. Their next meeting is Feb 10 at the Little America truck stop by Rock Springs. They also need a hotel Chair

They now have representatives and a there have been a slide here and there. They are working on Sheridan to get them involved in the area. Tom is looking into Computers. He is hiding from his wife…LOL

Sos Spirit of Service – Learning Days - will be switched around through Gillette, Powell, Sheridan Powell has two meetings now. Avg 20 to 30 people per meeting.

Go to the NA website and get the public relations handbook, it has taken the place of H&I and PI

Sharing Session

After the convention in May, the next Convention will be in Casper.

Riverton, what is going on there, they wanted to be part of Central WY…they could not get the support they wanted so they quit coming. They do have three meeting per week. They are trying to get it going. This is why the next thing is in Riverton to help back them up. It has been suggested to contact your GSR’s in order to get them to come to Riverton. By contacting them by phone they may show up.

Discussion concerning the fact that the penal system is sending alcohol addicts to NA meeting. There was a suggestion that H&I talk to the court system to get them to put the people in the right category.

We carry the message of NA not AA.

Elections

Vice Chair Jeanne read guidelines for Vice Chair. Delinda was nominated for Vice Chair by Steve.

She gave her qualifications. The main thing she loves service, clean four years, will miss one meeting for sons b day…she might be getting married and will that suppose a problem…both parties stated no…Steve explained why he nominated DeLinda… He explained that she was a good facilitator and she is leaving her GSR position in march.

Hooray DeLinda is our new Vice Chair

Web servant Jeanne read qualifications There have been no nominations it was pointed out that the Vice Chair fills in vacant spots. So DeLinda will fill in and Steve will help out.

Convention Chair for next year Amber nominated Vicki W, but she is not present and when she gets here we will go from there. Vicki W accepted the nomination. Vicki voiced her qualifications.

She is now the Vice Chair of the current convention.

She will be the Chair for the Convention IX in 08

Old Business

Liability Insurance Rick was the chairperson for the ad hock committee. The RCMs were to ask their areas and for the groups to find out if they need insurance. Insurance covers the groups, not the convention.

New Business

Regional Assembly April 14 Learning days…bringing old timers to the meeting? Topics/ RCMs can email Steve with topics

Talk about using the bucking bronco do we need to get permission from someone to use the bucking bronco? We have groups out of state will they be ok with the bronco. Do we want Tommy to find out if we can use the bronco symbol? The RCMs should take this logo back to the area / log contest from the groups.

Do we want Tommy to go to the World meeting in Nebraska during the same time as our convention? We are not obligated to do this for it is a special thing.

Tom made motion to have Tommy O to world meeting and we will give him the monies for this at the next regional meeting.
