Reading of Previous Minutes:

Minutes were read by Bill G. After the minutes were read the following items needed to be corrected.

1.                  Old Secretary was Amber R. not Amber J.

2.                  I stated there were no minutes to read the previous month, should have stated the previous meeting.

3.                  Under elections for Web Servant, Richard M. and Mary G. Volunteered for the position not applied.

4.                  Under old business where the Web Servant is, I stated that the web site was up and running, this was not true. At the time of the meeting the Web page was not up and running, that did not happen until a couple of weeks later when I wrote the minutes.

Discussion about 1500 dollars for convention…does convention have seed money of 3500 or 5000

We do not know if we need to pay back the 1500 or not.

August of 05 voted to give convention 5000 now we are trying to find notes to figure out the 1500

 

Motion made:

The money we have in excess which is 277.25 and any additional money above our prudent reserve does not go anywhere, meaning not to the world or any other fund for the time being.

Conduct workshop on Oct 21st Don T. from Colorado did help with workshop and did send report to world board.  See attached and the follow-up workshop is in Dec and Ray is going to help

Has not talked to other groups so does not know what is going on from them…communication problem...serenity seekers…has problem with ego, traditions and such.. June of 07 third weekend are having a workshop on basic text campout 20th

Discussion about links to peoples email on our website such as chair person and RCMs and such…we want a counter on the web site…

 

Steve will put our emails on the website ex: secretary@urmrna.org and he will let us know once it is ready

Liability Insurance: See Attached

 

Need to share with the area. Talk to the area about the insurance for the groups.

We will discuss this again in Feb.

 

Find out if the buildings where we are at have insurance or not. Find out if the safety issues are what they are supposed to be. Groups need to be more responsible in the safety issues that surround their group/club. Are you handicapped assessable?

 

Will talk more at the next meeting about this and RCM’s will bring info back to us.

 

Tax Exempt Status:

 

We have done the EIN number but we do not need to do the Tax exempt status, we are too small.

This is after the meeting notes…..

The post office box needed to be paid for. We thought that the last time it was paid for it was for a year. It was only for six months. It has now been paid for one year and the PO Box is ok.
